About Marchesi Fumanelli:
Marchesi Fumanelli have produced wine at their Squarano estate near Verona, Italy since 1470. Here, grapes for their classic Valpolicella and Amarone wines are grown with the highest respect for the traditions of this ancient winemaking region. Most of their wines are produced using the traditonal method of partially drying the red grapes prior to pressing, although they do not utilize the ripasso method so widespread in the area. This produces wines of remarkable elegance, acidity and balance--truly unique in Veronese winemaking.
We’ll be tasting 2 Champagnes and 4 Fumanelli wines along with cheese and charcuterie:
NV Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve, Champagne, France
NV Delamotte Blanc de Blancs, Champagne, France
2006 Fumanelli Terso Bianco, Veneto, Italy
