2023 Foradori "Morei" Teroldego, Dolomiti IGT, Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy
The 2023 “Morei” is a grounded yet vibrant expression of Teroldego, channeled through stony soils and guided by amphora aging. Dense but lifted, it offers layers of black raspberry, pomegranate, graphite, and wild herbs. There's a tactile energy to the wine—structured yet agile—with sinewy tannins, bright acidity, and a mineral edge that gives it both depth and direction. The finish is long and savory, with notes of iron, black tea, and alpine spice echoing the vineyard’s raw origins.

ABOUT THE WINE
From the sun-drenched, alluvial Morei parcel in the Campo Rotaliano, this single-vineyard Teroldego expresses the darker, more muscular side of the grape. The site’s gravel-rich soils, remnants of an ancient riverbed, foster depth and mineral tension. In 2023, the wine was fermented spontaneously in clay amphorae and left on skins for eight months, allowing full phenolic expression without excess extraction. No oak is used—only clay—preserving the varietal purity and precision of the vintage. Certified biodynamic and farmed with regenerative practices, this is a soulful, elemental wine that pairs well with game, grilled radicchio, or mushroom-laden polenta.
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
Foradori is a leading voice in Italy’s biodynamic and natural wine movement. Since taking over the family estate in the 1980s, Elisabetta Foradori has reshaped the perception of Teroldego through meticulous vineyard work and minimal-intervention cellar practices. The estate, located in Trentino’s Campo Rotaliano, now runs under the stewardship of Elisabetta’s children, who continue to deepen the farm’s connection to biodiversity, sustainability, and ancestral methods. Through the use of massale selection, amphora aging, and a reverence for terroir, Foradori crafts wines of clarity, integrity, and profound place-driven character.
