2019 Domaine Dugois Arbois "Grevillière" Trousseau, Jura, France

Dugois' Trousseau displays a beautiful light ruby red exhibiting uplifting aromas of ripe red fruits with hints of black pepper and light spice. The palate is delicate, yet full-flavored; notes of raspberry, cherries and faint earth are supported by fresh acidity and fine-grained tannins leading to a long, delightful finish.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

It all began in 1973 when Daniel bought 2 hectares of vines, as well as a house with a vaulted cellar in the village of Arsures where he was born. Coming from a family of farmers, he was passionate about vines. Self-taught, he began by selling his harvests to the large Jura estates. In 1982, he went it alone and vinified his first harvest. First harvest but also first customers and above all first distinction with a gold medal at the Jura Wine Competition for his Chardonnay. Enough to confirm him in the chosen path!

Since then, Daniel and his wife Monique have continued to work on the quality of their products, which are mainly intended for individuals. This seriousness has been rewarded many times in competitions and in various guides. In 2006, their son Philippe returned from his end-of-study internships and took charge of the vinification of the harvests, with the same passion and precision as his father. In 2013, he took over the entire management of the estate where he was joined in 2014 by his wife Mélanie, leaving Daniel and Monique time to enjoy their retirement. 2014 also marks the beginning of the High Environmental Value adventure which will be continued in 2019 by the first harvest "in conversion to organic". The year 2022 will bring its grapes under the acronym of 100% organic!
