The "King of Wines" Is Back! Giuseppe Rinaldi Barolos Have Arrived 🍷

Giuseppe Rinaldi — A Legendary Name in Barolo

Few producers embody the soul of traditional Barolo quite like Giuseppe Rinaldi. Based in the historic village of Barolo, this legendary family estate has built its reputation on wines of extraordinary elegance, purity, and longevity.

Affectionately known as Beppe, Giuseppe Rinaldi was one of the most respected traditionalists in Piedmont. He remained committed to time-honored winemaking methods, including long macerations and aging in large oak casks, allowing Nebbiolo and the unique character of Barolo's vineyards to speak for themselves.

Today, the estate is led by his daughters, Marta and Carlotta Rinaldi, who continue their father's philosophy of producing authentic, expressive Barolos with remarkable aging potential.

We are beyond excited to finally welcome Giuseppe Rinaldi back to Georgia! Even more special, PERRINE’S has secured an extraordinary collection that includes exclusive library vintages, recent releases, and rare magnums.

From mature bottles dating back to 1994 to the latest 2022 releases, this is a unique opportunity to experience the evolution of one of Italy's most celebrated producers.

Featured Giuseppe Rinaldi Collection

Explore each vineyard, vintage, and recommended drinking window below.

Barolo Brunate–Le Coste

Description: One of Giuseppe Rinaldi's historic Barolo blends, combining the power and structure of Brunate with the aromatic finesse of Le Coste. Brunate, situated between La Morra and Barolo, is celebrated for its depth, complexity, and longevity, while Le Coste contributes perfume, freshness, and elegance. Together, they produce a beautifully balanced expression of traditional Barolo.

  • 1994 – Drink Now: A fully mature library vintage, offering the possibility of dried roses, leather, tobacco, forest floor, and delicate earthy notes. A rare opportunity to experience traditional Barolo after more than three decades of evolution. Bottle condition is especially important.

Barolo Cannubi San Lorenzo–Ravera

Description: This historic Rinaldi blend brings together two distinctive vineyard expressions. Cannubi San Lorenzo contributes aromatic elegance, floral complexity, and refined texture, while Ravera adds structure, freshness, and mineral character. The result is a traditionally styled Barolo that combines finesse with depth and remarkable personality.

  • 2003 – Drink Now: A warm, powerful vintage that has reached full maturity. Expect developed aromas of dried cherry, plum, tobacco, leather, and sweet spice, with softened tannins and a generous, rounded palate. Best enjoyed now rather than held for extended aging.

Barolo Brunate

Description: Brunate is one of Barolo's most prestigious vineyards, extending across the communes of La Morra and Barolo. Known for producing wines of exceptional structure, aromatic intensity, and longevity, Brunate combines powerful Nebbiolo tannins with beautiful floral elegance. Giuseppe Rinaldi's interpretation is particularly celebrated for its traditional character, purity, and ability to evolve gracefully over decades.

  • 2014 – Drink Now: A challenging but fascinating vintage that favored producers committed to careful vineyard work. Elegant and aromatic, with red cherry, dried roses, spice, and savory complexity. Entering a lovely drinking window.

  • 2018 – Drink Now / Hold: An approachable, expressive vintage offering vibrant red berries, rose petals, orange peel, and delicate spice. Fine tannins and beautiful freshness make this enjoyable now, with potential for further development.

  • 2022 – Hold: A warm, dry vintage showing ripe red fruit, floral notes, and youthful structure. While potentially approachable earlier than more classically structured vintages, additional cellaring should help integrate the tannins and reveal greater complexity.

  • 2022 – 1.5L MAG – Hold: The same expressive Brunate character in a rare large format. Magnums generally evolve more slowly than standard bottles, making this an especially attractive choice for long-term cellaring.

Barolo Bussia

Description: Located in Monforte d'Alba, Bussia is one of Barolo's largest and most prestigious vineyard areas, celebrated for producing powerful, structured, and exceptionally age-worthy wines. Giuseppe Rinaldi's Bussia expresses a more muscular side of Nebbiolo, with dark fruit, licorice, earthy complexity, and firm tannins. Compared with the aromatic elegance of Brunate, Bussia generally offers greater depth, intensity, and structure.

  • 2020 – Drink Now / Hold: A beautifully balanced vintage combining ripe cherry, dark berries, dried herbs, and savory spice. The wine's structure suggests excellent aging potential, although patient decanting can make it rewarding now.

  • 2022 – Hold: Concentrated and youthful, with dark cherry, licorice, tobacco, and mineral notes. Firm tannins and depth make this an excellent candidate for further cellaring.

  • 2022 – 1.5L MAG – Hold: A rare large-format expression of Bussia, offering additional potential for slow, graceful evolution. An exciting bottle for collectors looking to experience this powerful vineyard at maturity.

Barolo Tre Tine

Description: Tre Tine, meaning "Three Vats," is Giuseppe Rinaldi's traditional multi-vineyard Barolo, combining Nebbiolo from several historic vineyard parcels. It captures the essence of the estate's winemaking philosophy: aromatic purity, freshness, elegance, and the ability to express Barolo through a harmonious blend of terroirs. Generally more approachable in youth than Brunate or Bussia, Tre Tine remains a serious, age-worthy Barolo.

  • 2021 – Hold: An exceptional vintage for Barolo, offering remarkable balance between concentration, acidity, and structure. Expect vibrant red cherry, roses, violets, and mineral complexity, supported by beautifully defined tannins. A wonderful wine to cellar.

  • 2022 – Hold: An expressive, aromatic vintage showing fresh red berries, dried rose petals, orange peel, and delicate spice. Although approachable in style, additional bottle age should bring greater harmony and complexity.

  • 2022 – 1.5L MAG – Hold: A particularly attractive collector's format, combining Tre Tine's aromatic elegance with the slower evolution of a magnum. Ideal for a special occasion several years down the road.
