Assistant Store Manager
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example to deliver outstanding customer service. Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Staff Management: Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising staff. Schedule shifts and ensure the team is motivated and performing at their best.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels. Assist with ordering and receiving shipments. Ensure the store is well-stocked and organized.
- Sales and Promotions: Help implement sales strategies and promotions. Encourage staff to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Operations: Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Wine Expertise: Develop and maintain a deep knowledge of our wine selection. Assist customers with wine choices and pairings. Stay updated on industry trends and new products.
- Growth and Development: Show a willingness to learn and grow within the company. Attend training sessions and participate in professional development opportunities.

Skills You’ll Need:
- Proven Experience: Previous experience in retail management and customer service, ideally in the wine or hospitality industry.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team.
- Reliability: Trustworthy and capable of handling cash and sensitive information.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Passion for Wine: A strong interest in wine and a desire to build a career in the industry.
- Customer Service Excellence: Ability to engage with customers and exceed their expectations, ensuring every customer leaves with a great experience.
- Organizational Skills: Keep track of stock, manage tasks efficiently, and keep the store organized.
- Attention to Detail: You’ll need to be meticulous when processing transactions and maintaining records.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift and carry multiple cases of wine daily.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google suite, Canva, Mac OS, and retail systems such as Lightspeed.
Retail Sales Associate
What You’ll Do:
- Engage Customers: Connect with customers to understand their needs and recommend wine selections based on your product knowledge.
- Sales Support: Drive sales through suggestive selling and help maintain customer profiles for personalized service.
- Process Payments: Handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately.
- Stock and Merchandise: Assist with receiving stock, organizing displays, and keeping the store presentable.
- Events & Tastings: Help set up and execute public or private tastings, both during and outside of regular store hours.
- Wine Expertise: Attend staff training sessions to continuously improve your wine knowledge and provide excellent customer recommendations.
