From the renowned Viña Tondonia vineyard in Rioja Alta, this Reserva is crafted from a time-honored blend of Tempranillo (approx. 75%), Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo, all hand-harvested from estate-owned vines. The 2004 vintage was exceptional—warm, balanced, and long-ripening—yielding wines with depth, precision, and aging potential.

Following López de Heredia’s century-old methods, the wine was fermented with indigenous yeasts in large oak vats, aged for 6 years in neutral American oak barrels, and then bottled unfiltered and cellared for further aging before release. In magnum format, the 2004 Reserva preserves remarkable freshness while showcasing the tertiary complexity that defines the house style.
