ABOUT THIS WINE

Sourced entirely from the historic Viña Tondonia vineyard—a 100-hectare parcel along the Ebro River in Rioja Alta—the 2007 Reserva is composed primarily of Tempranillo, with Garnacha, Graciano, and Mazuelo completing the blend. The wine is fermented with native yeasts in 140-year-old oak vats, then aged for 6 years in old American oak barrels, racked twice yearly, and bottled unfiltered.

The magnum format (1.5L) allows for a slower, more graceful evolution, preserving freshness and detail over time. 2007 was a cooler, more structured vintage, and this wine reflects that with lifted aromatics, fine-grained tannins, and a precise mineral edge. Ideal with roast lamb, grilled mushrooms, Manchego, or Iberico ham.
