ABOUT THIS WINE

This wine offers an open nose with some notes of orange, crystallized lemon, grapefruit with highly-rated slightly acid refreshing one. The aromas of white flowers and almond paste complete this range of freshness. The mouth reflects the liveliness of the vintage and reproduces the aromatic range of the nose by adding to it the pineapple and a vanilla touch thanks to its breeding in barrel. The liqueur is present by the density but remains discreet. The finale leaves especially a very fruity, fresh, and slightly acid imprint. This wine presents a pleasant and attractive appearance, which will allow one to appreciate it in its youth.

Blend: 95% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Blanc. Aged in 40% new barrels and 60% one-year-old barrels for 18 months.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The history of Château Suduiraut, in Sauternes, goes back to centuries. After the total destruction of the property by the Duke d’Epernon in the 1600’s, Count Blaise de Suduiraut replanted the vineyard and restored the estate to its former glory. On 18 April 1855 the estate was classed as a Premier Cru during the official wine classification programme in the Gironde winegrowing area. AXA Millésimes acquired Suduiraut in 1992 with the aim of preserving and perpetuating the estate’s remarkable tradition of vineyard management and winemaking. Inspired by the great Suduiraut wines of the past, the new management has enabled this great vineyard to fulfill its full potential in recent years.
