ABOUT THE WINE
Crafted by Maison Noir Wines, "Oregogne" reflects founder André Hueston's vision of producing wines that combine Old World restraint with New World fruit purity. Sourced from select Willamette Valley vineyards, the 2019 vintage benefited from a long, moderate growing season that delivered exceptional fruit balance and freshness.
Made entirely from Chardonnay, the wine showcases layered flavors of orchard fruit, citrus zest, and subtle baking spice, supported by lively acidity and a refined, silky texture. Partial barrel fermentation and careful lees aging contribute richness and complexity without overwhelming the wine's natural freshness. The restrained use of oak allows the fruit and mineral character to remain at the forefront.
This versatile Chardonnay pairs beautifully with roast chicken, seared scallops, grilled salmon, creamy pasta dishes, mushroom risotto, or soft-ripened cheeses such as Brie and Camembert. While delicious upon release, the 2019 vintage has the structure to develop additional nutty, honeyed complexity over several years in bottle.
