2015 Bouchard Père & Fils Pommard 1er Cru, Burgundy, France
Deep ruby color, aromas of ripe red and black fruits, earth, and subtle spice. The palate is full-bodied with firm tannins, bright acidity, and flavors of cherry, blackberry, leather, and cocoa. Well-integrated oak adds elegance, leading to a long, mineral-driven finish. Approachable now with decanting but will age well through 2030+. Pairs beautifully with roasted meats, mushrooms, and aged cheeses.
