2015 Bruno Giacosa Falletto Barolo
2014 was a classic vintage in Barolo, and the Giacosa Falletto bottling showcases an intense complex nose with red fruit, floral, and spices notes, with powerful but well-integrated tannins and a backbone of fresh acidity.
Bruno Giacosa has established himself as one of the iconic winemakers not only in the Piedmont but in the world, with a career spanning nearly eight decades. Now run by his daughter Bruna, the winery produces this single vineyard Barolo from a 10.5 hectare estate in Serralunga d’Alba, which Bruno has considered the best area for producing elegant and long-lived Barolos. Made in the traditional style, with a three week maceration in temperature controlled stainless steel and then aged for three years in neutral French botti.
