The 2016 vintage at Château Ausone benefitted from a warm and dry growing season, allowing the estate’s Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes to reach perfect ripeness. The wine is vinified traditionally in small, temperature-controlled tanks, followed by aging in new French oak barrels for 18 months. Château Ausone's terroir, composed of clay-limestone soils, imparts an incredible level of minerality and elegance to the wine, making it one of the most revered expressions of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru.
