2016 Domaine Joseph Roty Mazy-Chambertin Grand Cru, Burgundy, France
Aromas of Earthy wild berries, black cherry, cassis, violet, licorice, grilled meats, black truffle, game, spice, and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and multi-dimensional with rich, concentrated fruit, refined tannins, and notable depth. Offers flavors of blackberry, kirsch, and cocoa, with a firm, structured backbone. Long, persistent, and slightly warm with floral lift and a hint of sauvage on the palate. Overall, it's a bold, age-worthy Burgundy with elegance, complexity, and great aging potential.
