2017 Domaine Hubert Bouzereau-Gruere Saint Aubin 1er Cru "Les Charmois", Burgundy, France
On the nose this "Les Charmois" shows beautiful notes of lemon custard balanced by its stunning display of minerality. The palate is balanced by bright acidity with flavors of yellow apples, nutmeg, and sweet cream.
ABOUT THIS WINE
The wines of the Bouzereau family are all beautiful. This Saint Aubin 1er Cru can safely be called one of theIR masterpieces. The vineyard "Les Charmois" is located against the vineyards of the Chassangne Montrachet 1er cru Les Chaumees. The wine has been aged in oak for a year (25% new French oak).
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Domaine Hubert Bouzereau-Gruère & Filles is based in Meursault. Hubert's two daughters took over the running of the estate in 2000, representing the eighth generation. Having trained with Jacques Carillon, one of Puligny's greatest growers, Marie-Anne concentrated her efforts on improving the quality of the vineyard. Her philosophy is that making outstanding wine is easier if you have a healthy vineyard. Her sister, Marie-Laure, has taken over the commercial side of the family business.
