ABOUT THE WINE

The 2018 "Atlas West" Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from hillside vineyards on the western side of Sonoma Valley, where coastal influence and volcanic soils shape a more refined, terroir-reflective expression of the varietal. The wine opens with aromas of crushed blackberry, dried sage, and violet, underpinned by subtle earth and pencil shavings. On the palate, dark cherry and currant are layered with cocoa nib and stony minerality, while the wine’s lithe structure speaks to careful vineyard selection and restrained winemaking.

Fermentation with native yeasts and extended maceration lend depth without over-extraction. Aging takes place in neutral and lightly toasted French oak barrels, allowing the wine's natural character and freshness to shine through.
