ABOUT THIS WINE

Crafted from 100% Pinot Gris, the “Réserve” is sourced from estate vineyards and long-standing grower partners throughout the finest sites of Alsace. The region's mosaic of limestone, marl, sandstone, and granite soils, combined with its cool continental climate, allows Pinot Gris to achieve full ripeness while retaining freshness and precision.

The grapes are harvested at optimal maturity and gently pressed before cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve varietal purity and terroir expression. True to the Trimbach house style, the wine is fermented to dryness, without noticeable residual sugar, allowing its natural richness and mineral character to shine. Extended maturation on the fine lees contributes texture and complexity while maintaining remarkable freshness.

The warm and balanced 2018 vintage produced Pinot Gris with generous fruit and excellent concentration, while Trimbach's restrained winemaking preserved the wine's hallmark precision and elegance. It pairs beautifully with roast pork, duck, smoked fish, mushroom dishes, veal, and Alsatian classics such as choucroute or foie gras.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Founded in 1626, Maison Trimbach is one of Alsace's oldest and most prestigious family-owned estates, now led by the thirteenth generation of the Trimbach family. Based in Ribeauvillé, the house has built an international reputation for producing wines defined by purity, precision, and exceptional longevity.

Trimbach follows a philosophy of sustainable viticulture, low yields, and meticulous fruit selection, emphasizing vineyard expression over winemaking intervention. Fermentations are conducted in stainless steel to preserve freshness and aromatic clarity, and the wines are typically bottled dry, a signature style that distinguishes Trimbach within Alsace. Revered for their balance, elegance, and remarkable aging potential, Trimbach's wines are considered benchmarks for classic Alsatian winemaking.
