ABOUT THE WINE
Produced in the southern reaches of Baden near the Swiss border, this Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) reflects the region’s warm climate and limestone-rich soils. The 2022 vintage shows layered red fruit—sour cherry, red currant, and pomegranate—balanced by earthy undertones and a touch of smoky spice.
Fermented with a portion of whole clusters and native yeasts, the wine is crafted with minimal intervention to preserve authenticity and site character. Aging typically takes place in large, neutral oak barrels, allowing texture and structure to develop while maintaining clarity of fruit and minerality. The result is a wine of elegance and tension, with both immediacy and aging potential.
Versatile at the table, it pairs beautifully with roast duck, mushroom dishes, grilled salmon, pork tenderloin, and Alpine-inspired cuisine.
