ABOUT THIS WINE

The 2019 Bella Oaks Proprietary Red Wine is a more than worthy follow up to the fabulous 2018. Proprietor Suzanne Deal Booth and winemaker Nigel Kinsman crafted a wine that captures all the pedigree of this historic Rutherford site in spades. In 2019 Kinsman opted to co-ferment a dollop of Cabernet Franc, a choice that paid off brilliantly. The 2019 is not as potent as the 2018, but instead is all about finesse and elegance. It shows just how refined Napa Valley can be.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Bella Oaks combines one of Napa Valley’s most historic and revered vineyards with the dedication to cultural heritage projects that characterizes the vision of proprietor and arts advocate Suzanne Deal Booth. The Bella Oaks Vineyard is legendary, with a legacy for producing some of Napa Valley’s earliest single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignons. Since acquiring Bella Oaks in 2010, Deal Booth has breathed new life into this storied property with a focus on stewardship that includes organic and biodynamic farming practices and a thoughtful emphasis on biodiversity.

Joined by Vineyard Manager David Abreu, Master Blender Michel Rolland and Winemaker Nigel Kinsman, Deal Booth aims to elevate the estate to its highest potential by giving voice to the land with singular Cabernet Sauvignons, and through the seamless integration of wine, art, community, and culture.
