2019 Biondi Santi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva, Tuscany, Italy
Cherry, pomegranate and dried flowers meet wild herbs, balsamic accents and spice in this estate-grown Sangiovese Riserva. Vibrant acidity and fine tannins shape a taut, balanced palate and lingering finish.
ABOUT THE WINE
The 2019 Biondi-Santi Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is made exclusively from selected grapes drawn from the estate’s oldest vineyard parcels. The wine is fermented using indigenous yeasts in oak casks, concrete and stainless steel, then aged for 28 months in large Slavonian oak casks. The vintage shows a finely sculpted profile of cherry and pomegranate, dried flowers, wild herbs, subtle balsamic notes and spice. Vibrant acidity and fine-grained tannins frame a taut, balanced palate with a clean, lingering finish.
Grape: Sangiovese Grosso (BBS11 clone) Alcohol: 13.5% ABV
