ABOUT THE WINE

Château Musar’s red is one of Lebanon’s most distinctive wines, produced from vineyards in the Bekaa Valley, where high elevation, abundant sunshine, and cool nighttime temperatures help preserve freshness in the fruit. The wine is traditionally made with a blend of indigenous and international varieties, fermented with native yeasts and given extended maturation before release. With bottle age, it develops increasingly complex notes of dried cherry, cedar, leather, tobacco, spice, and earth while retaining its characteristic freshness. A natural match for lamb, grilled meats, roasted vegetables, Lebanese mezze, and slow-cooked stews.

Founded in 1930 by Gaston Hochar, Château Musar is Lebanon’s most internationally recognized winery and a pioneer of fine wine from the Eastern Mediterranean. The estate is renowned for traditional, low-intervention winemaking and an ability to produce wines that evolve remarkably with age.
