2019 Domaine André Neveu "Le Grand Fricambault" Sancerre Rouge, Loire Valley, France
A good intensity of ruby garnet-red complexion, clear.
Typical aromas: showing notes of ripe cherry and peony, mixed with a touch of graphite. The attack is frank and supple. The tannins gradually build, and help to conclude a firm finish. Well structured. The red fruit aromas persist.
ABOUT THIS WINE
From the Pinot Noir grape, this is a light, round wine, full of red fruit aromas, and is made in thermo-regulated tanks. Serve between 10°and 12°C. It goes perfectly with cold cuts, poultry, and red meats, as well as any French cheese.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
The Neveu family, the viticulture father, and son, have been based in the heart of the Chavignol vineyards for generations, and today carry on the tradition of the great Sancerrois vignerons. Valérie (André Neveu’s daughter), and her husband Thomas, now run the domain that extends to about 13 hectares of vines of AOC Sancerre red, white and rosé. They harvest, vinify and sell everything themselves.
