2019 Graham Beck "Blanc de Blancs" Cap Classique, Robertson, South Africa
This Blanc de Blanc mCap Classique from South Africa features aromas of fresh citrus, green apple, pear, and white flowers, complemented by a creamy mousse, rich brioche, roasted almonds, and a long, succulent finish.
ABOUT THIS WINE
From the producer: "100% Chardonnay. The grapes for this exceptional Cap Classique were specially selected from our oldest and very best quality vineyard blocks on our estate in Robertson.
The soils in which these vineyards grow have a rich natural limestone content with high concentrations of calcareous deposits. These fruit parcels represent a selection of 5 different Chardonnay clones, each contributing a unique aroma and flavour compound, resulting in the extraordinary complexity and minerality of the base wines."
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
From the producer: "When our founder Graham Beck began his journey crafting South Africa’s premier sparkling wine known as Cap Classique, his goal was simple: to introduce a premium bubbly that’s always worthy of the moment.
Sparkling wine is the perfect drink to enhance any moment and not just for celebrations. Yet, what is designed to delight can sometimes cause unnecessary stress. Between too many choices, high prices, and labels that are hard to understand, it can be hard to know where to even start.
At the helm of the Graham Beck cellar is Cellarmaster Pierre de Klerk, whose precision, curiosity and quiet dedication guide every wine we make. Since joining the House in 2010, Pierre spent 15 years working alongside founding Cellarmaster Pieter “Bubbles” Ferreira, gaining an intimate understanding of the exacting standards that have defined Graham Beck Cap Classique since 1991. Appointed Cellarmaster in 2022, Pierre now leads the cellar into its next chapter, carrying forward an enduring pursuit of the perfect bubble."
