Sourced from 55–60-year-old vines in the Starderi vineyard in Neive—one of Barbaresco’s most lauded sites—this single-vineyard Barbaresco is a profound expression of place and vintage. The 2019 growing season was long and balanced, allowing Nebbiolo to reach full phenolic ripeness while retaining precision. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 22 months in 50% new French oak barriques, the wine gains depth, polish, and aromatic complexity without losing varietal transparency. The vineyard’s calcareous and sandy soils contribute to the wine’s tension and verticality, while La Spinetta’s low-intervention, sustainable farming ensures a pure and site-driven character.
