ABOUT THIS WINE

Sourced from a 0.25-hectare parcel planted in 1983 within the esteemed "Les Perrières Dessous" vineyard, situated just above "Les Charmes" in Meursault, this Chardonnay epitomizes the terroir's mineral-rich character. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo fermentation with indigenous yeasts. The wine is then aged for 16 months in 228-liter oak barrels, with 25-30% new oak employed to enhance complexity without overshadowing the wine's inherent qualities.

Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur is a historic estate resulting from the union of two venerable winemaking families from Volnay and Meursault.
