2020 Domaine René Cacheux et Fils Chambolle-Musigny "Les Argillières", Burgundy, France
The wine is deep ruby with bright reflections. The aroma is both floral bouquet (violet) and fruity (strawberry, raspberry). This Chambolle-Musigny has an ample entrance, rich and complex environment with an elegant and slightly woody finish.
ABOUT THIS WINE
The 43-year old vines are grown in clay-limestone soils. The harvest is manual, sorting is immediate, directly on the vine, the destemming is total before putting in open tanks. The wines are vinified in a traditional way with temperature control. They are then aged in oak barrels for a period of 18 months with a percentage of new barrels which may vary, following appellations and the vintage, between 10% and 50%. Wine is neither fined nor filtered. Bottled at the Domaine.
