ABOUT THIS WINE

Crafted from 100% Caiño Tinto grapes, this wine originates from the Finca Genoveva vineyard, home to some of the oldest Caiño Tinto vines in Rías Baixas, dating back to the 1820s. The grapes are hand-harvested and undergo spontaneous fermentation with partial whole clusters. The wine matures in large, used oak foudres for 24 months, resulting in a moderate 12% alcohol content and great balance with very fine tannins.

Forjas del Salnés is a family-run winery located in the Salnés Valley of Rías Baixas, Galicia. Established in the early 20th century, the winery has been producing distinctive wines using primarily indigenous grape varieties. Currently led by Rodrigo Méndez, with the invaluable collaboration of renowned winemaker Raúl Pérez, Forjas del Salnés focuses on crafting wines that reflect the unique terroir of the region.
