ABOUT THIS WINE

Les Piliers de Maison Blanche is the second wine of the estate. The 2020 vintage is a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc. Aged in second time French oak barrels for 15 months. Les Piliers de Maison Blanche is typically made from the same vineyard sites as the grand vin (the primary wine of the estate), but often with grapes from younger vines or parcels that are not included in the first wine. This second wine allows the winemakers to produce a more approachable, earlier-drinking wine while still reflecting the quality and terroir of the estate.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Located in the southwest of the town & appellation of Montagne St Emilion, Chateau Maison Blanche is one of the most beautiful wine-growing estates in the region. Francoise Rapin inherited the proper-ty in 1972. Since 2009, her children are managing the estate. After the 2005 harvest, they made the decision to convert all their vineyards to organic agriculture and 2009 was the first wines made from grapes of organic agriculture.
