ABOUT THE WINE
Sourced from estate vineyards in the cool-climate region of Drama in northern Greece, “Techni Alipias” Red is a 60/40 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Agiorgitiko—two varieties that complement each other in complexity and structure. The 2020 vintage was marked by steady ripening and excellent phenolic development. After careful sorting, the grapes were vinified separately and aged for 12 months in French oak barriques, a portion of which were new. The result is a rich, aromatic wine with notes of ripe dark fruit, cedar, sweet tobacco, and mocha, all underpinned by firm yet integrated tannins. The Agiorgitiko adds a juicy, aromatic lift and spice, while the Cabernet contributes structure and depth. Ideal with grilled meats, lamb stew, or aged cheeses, this wine also rewards 5–8 years of cellaring.
