ABOUT THE WINE

Ried Rosenberg is one of Bernhard Ott’s most important single vineyards, located on the elevated terraces of the Wagram. Its deep loess soils give Grüner Veltliner both richness and a distinctive creamy texture, while the site’s elevation and cooling influences preserve freshness. The 2021 shows the variety at its more powerful, ageworthy end: orchard fruit, citrus, white pepper, herbs, and stony minerality supported by bright acidity and fine phenolic structure. The wine is fermented with native yeasts and matured gently to preserve purity and vineyard character.

An excellent partner for Wiener schnitzel, roast pork, freshwater fish, shellfish, asparagus, creamy vegetable dishes, and aged alpine cheeses.
