2021 Cap Royal Blanc, Bordeaux, France

This wine showcases Jasmine and guava on the nose. This has bright acidity and a beautiful softness to it. On the palette, it displays kiwi, lemongrass, a hint of lime zest and mandarins.

The Sauvignon Blanc grapes are vinified in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats to preserve the fresh and fruity character of the wine. Then follows a short maturation on fine lees in vats to bring out the tropical and citrus aromas. A beautiful and clean example of the varietal.

Cap Royal, named after the lighthouse that has warned ships entering of the Port of Bordeaux for the last 400 years, is a crisp and bright example of Bordeaux Blanc. Made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, the different batches are selected by Jean René Matignon (technical director of 2nd Growth Chateau Pichon Baron in Pauillac)
