2021 Domaine ZerOine "L'JuCha" Côtes du Jura, Jura, France
Fresh, wild, and wonderfully idiosyncratic, the 2021 "L'JuCha" from Domaine ZerOine is a lively Jura white with layers of orchard fruit, subtle oxidation, and a saline finish. Aromas of yellow apple, preserved lemon, crushed herbs, and toasted hazelnut lead into a textured, slightly oxidative palate with bright acidity and a savory edge. It’s a natural wine with energy, tension, and unmistakable Jura soul.

ABOUT THIS WINE
“L'JuCha” is a playfully named cuvée made from a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin, two of Jura’s signature white varieties. Grapes are farmed organically and biodynamically on limestone-rich soils in the Côtes du Jura, and vinified with native yeasts and no additives. The wine is aged in old barrels under a veil of yeast (sous voile) for part of its élevage, lending a touch of oxidative complexity.
The 2021 vintage saw cooler conditions and moderate yields, favoring freshness and balance. Expect a wine that’s savory and textural, with notes of citrus peel, green almond, sea spray, and spice. Bottled without fining, filtration, or added sulfur.
