2021 Movia Pinot Grigio, Goriška Brda, Slovenia

Anything but ordinary, the 2021 Movia Pinot Grigio defies expectations with its coppery hue, layered aromatics, and tactile depth. This skin-contact white offers aromas of dried apricot, orange peel, rose petals, and spiced tea. On the palate, it's textured yet agile, with a savory, phenolic grip, lifted acidity, and a dry, mineral-laced finish. A Pinot Grigio that behaves more like an orange wine—bold, structured, and alive.

ABOUT THE WINE
Harvested from organically farmed vineyards on the steep, sun-drenched slopes of Goriška Brda, this Pinot Grigio undergoes short skin maceration, which imparts its signature copper-pink hue and a gentle tannic frame. Fermentation with native yeasts occurs spontaneously in large oak barrels, followed by aging on the lees without fining or filtration. The result is a textured, aromatic expression of Pinot Grigio that leans toward the savory and contemplative. Notes of blood orange, quince, herbal tea, and subtle almond unfold with air, carried by vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine pairs beautifully with charcuterie, roasted poultry, or richly spiced vegetarian dishes.
