The 2021 Viña Cobos "Bramare" Malbec, hailing from Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina, is a full-bodied and intensely expressive wine crafted by the renowned Viña Cobos estate founded by Paul Hobbs in 1999. The name “Bramare”—meaning “to yearn” in Italian—reflects the founder’s passion for exploring Mendoza’s finest terroirs, particularly at elevations around 994–1,002 m above sea level, which provide ideal conditions for producing deeply colored and aromatically complex Malbecs.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Under the leadership of Paul Hobbs and winemaker Andrés Vignoni, Viña Cobos has gained international acclaim for combining Old World winemaking sensitivity with New World power and purity—especially in Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza’s top appellations. Viña Cobos focuses on low-yield fruit from high-altitude vineyards, aging the wine for 18 months in French oak barrels, about 20–22% of which are new, to build structure and spice complexity.
