Made from 100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo grown organically on Francesco Cirelli’s estate near Atri, just a few kilometers from the Adriatic Sea, this wine is fermented and aged in clay amphorae (anfora), a traditional vessel that promotes micro-oxygenation while preserving the grape’s natural texture and freshness.

The 2021 vintage saw a balanced growing season, resulting in fruit with excellent ripeness and lively acidity. Fermentation occurs with native yeasts, and the wine is bottled unfiltered, with minimal sulfur. Expect dark berry fruit, wild herbs, subtle tannic grip, and a touch of earthiness that speaks clearly of place.
