ABOUT THIS WINE

“Les Brocs” is a lesser-known premier cru in Morey-Saint-Denis, situated on the mid-slope and sharing characteristics with neighboring Chambolle-Musigny and Gevrey-Chambertin. The vineyard's shallow limestone soils and eastern exposure allow for ripe fruit with firm structure and fine aromatic expression. The 2022 vintage brought excellent balance—ample ripeness without losing freshness or detail.

Organically farmed, the grapes are harvested by hand and fermented with a significant proportion of whole clusters and native yeasts. Aging occurs in French oak barrels (about 30–40% new) for 14–16 months before bottling without fining or filtration.

The wine shows both the dark-fruited depth and savory, earthy notes typical of Morey, while Duband’s restrained, elegant style keeps it lifted and precise. Pair with roast duck, wild mushrooms, or aged cheeses, and expect it to evolve beautifully over the next 10–15 years.
