2022 Domaine de Thulon Beaujolais Village, Beaujolais, France
Ripe, rich and delicious. The small amount of carbonic really keeps the fruit fresh, and the tannins are silky smooth.

ABOUT THIS WINE
Their production is on 16 hectares around the small village of Lantignié. Thulon processes the grapes manually, with respect for the surroundings and the principles of biodynamic. The poor granite soils provide a great basis for the energic Gamay. Giving minerality, fruit forwardness, and tension.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
Domaine de Thulon is a small family-owned business from Lantignié. Father Renè, mother Annie, daughter Carine, and son Laurent Jambon are all part of the small-scale production since they purchased the rough terrains in 1987. Their production is on 16 hectares around the small village of Lantignié. Thulon processes the grapes manually, with respect for the surroundings and the principles of biodynamic.
The Gamay-range by Domaine Thulon varieties from fruity carbon-macerated styles, to very dense Burgundy styles. Especially the latter ones profit from more time on the barrel and the bottle. Lantignié has not been put on the ‘Cru’ map yet, which makes this area a wine-explorers Walhalla.
The wines by the Jambon family might be modest by reputation, but this winery will be on the map soon enough. Their top range from Lantignié is cellar-worthy wines, as well as the small production of the more known crus they produce. They own small plots in Régnié, Morgon and Chiroubles.
