ABOUT THIS WINE

Vines planted in 1936, 1942, 1964, 1972
Surface area: 1 ha in three climats: Chenevery (60%), Clos Solon (15%), Porroux (25%)
These three parcels from the north and south of the village, on the edge of the Premiers Crus, produce low yields (30 hl / ha on average) due to the age of the vines. The wines are often well-coloured and meaty with good density. They can be enjoyed at their best after a few years’ in the cellar and can even develop well for more than 20 years.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The vineyard is mainly composed of old vines planted through massale selections, with the oldest dating back to 1936. Since the 1990s, they have embraced soil cultivation practices such as plowing and hoeing, excluding the use of herbicides and insecticides.

At the estate, a conscientious approach to both the vines and the surrounding environment, as well as the preservation of biodiversity, is carefully considered. This becomes even more crucial considering the impact on the vineyard in the face of climate change.

Since 2006, the estate has been following organic practices, and in 2016, Laurent initiated the “AB” (Agriculture Biologique) certification process, which was officially certified in 2019.
