ABOUT THE WINE

Sourced from old vines rooted in the limestone scree and marl of the Mourres plateau in Gigondas, this cuvée is a classic southern Rhône blend—predominantly Grenache, with Syrah and Mourvèdre lending depth and structure. The 2022 vintage showcases the sun-soaked character of the site, balanced by the elevation and cooling mistral winds that preserve freshness. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in concrete vats, the wine maintains purity and vibrancy without oak interference.

On the nose, it opens with wild thyme, violets, and dark fruit preserves. The palate is expansive yet refined—ripe blackberry and black cherry meet notes of black olive, tobacco leaf, and cracked pepper. There’s a pleasing wildness to its texture, with ample but well-integrated tannins and a driving, mineral-etched finish.
