This wine comes from a 0.32-hectare plot of Latricières-Chambertin, where the vines—planted in 1961, 1971, and 1981—grow in shallow limestone and marl soils. Located at the southern end of the Chambertin cluster, the vineyard’s cooler exposition contributes to the wine’s restraint and finesse, even in warmer vintages like 2022.

Vinification follows the domaine’s traditional, low-intervention approach: spontaneous fermentation with native yeasts, gentle extraction, and aging in French oak with minimal new wood. The 2022 vintage expresses fine red fruit purity, floral lift, and a savory, stony character that deepens with time. Decant if drinking young, or cellar for 10–20 years to fully experience its evolution.
