2022 Domaine Hubert Lignier Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru, Burgundy, France

The 2022 vintage is characterized by its elegance and complexity. The wine offers a bouquet of floral aromas, including peonies and rose petals, intertwined with notes of red and black cherries, cassis, and a hint of orange rind. On the palate, it is full-bodied and seamless, with velvety tannins and an ample core of vibrant, perfumed fruit. The finish is long and complex, reflecting the wine's depth and potential for aging.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

The vineyard is mainly composed of old vines planted through massale selections, with the oldest dating back to 1936. Since the 1990s, they have embraced soil cultivation practices such as plowing and hoeing, excluding the use of herbicides and insecticides.

At the estate, a conscientious approach to both the vines and the surrounding environment, as well as the preservation of biodiversity, is carefully considered. This becomes even more crucial considering the impact on the vineyard in the face of climate change.

Since 2006, the estate has been following organic practices, and in 2016, Laurent initiated the “AB” (Agriculture Biologique) certification process, which was officially certified in 2019.
