ABOUT THIS WINE

The 2022 Prophète Extra Brut is a méthode traditionnelle sparkling wine crafted from hand-harvested Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown on limestone-rich soils in the Côte d'Or and Côte Chalonnaise. Fermentation begins in stainless steel to preserve purity, followed by secondary fermentation in bottle and an extended élevage on lees to build complexity and structure. With minimal dosage, the wine remains exceptionally focused, allowing its crisp citrus and orchard fruit character to shine through.

This Crémant reflects Parigot & Richard’s commitment to Burgundian identity in sparkling form—highlighting terroir through careful site selection and minimalist intervention. Notes of chalky minerality and brioche emerge as the wine opens, offering versatility for food pairing. It’s an ideal companion for oysters, sushi, or delicate poultry dishes, yet compelling enough to be served on its own as an aperitif.
