2022 Pyren "Little Ra Ra" Petillant #1, Pyrenees, Australia
Breezy, playful, and vibrantly alive, the 2022 “Little Ra Ra” Pétillant #1 is a wildly drinkable natural sparkling wine that bursts with orchard fruit, citrus, and crunchy acidity. Notes of white nectarine, lemon verbena, and green apple skin dance on a lightly frothy palate, supported by a dry finish laced with leesy texture and a salty snap. Unfiltered and unapologetically fun, this is pét-nat with precision and verve.
ABOUT THIS WINE
“Little Ra Ra” Pétillant #1 is the first sparkling release under Pyren’s natural-leaning Ra Ra sub-label, showcasing fruit from the estate’s organically farmed vineyard on the southern slopes of the Warrenmang Valley in Victoria’s Pyrenees range. The 2022 vintage blends early-harvest Chardonnay with a dash of Sauvignon Blanc, picked for acidity and freshness.
Fermentation is spontaneous in stainless steel using native yeasts, with the wine bottled before fermentation is complete to capture natural CO₂—classic méthode ancestrale. No additions, no fining, no filtration, and zero sulfur at bottling. The result is a bright, lightly cloudy pét-nat with low alcohol, fresh acidity, and a gentle bead. Cloudy in the glass, clean on the palate—this wine is ideal with Vietnamese salads, fried chicken, or summer afternoons.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Certified organic and deeply committed to sustainable practices, Pyren farms its granite and quartz-rich soils with minimal intervention, producing expressive wines that reflect the rugged landscape and cool climate.
The Ra Ra series is winemaker Andy Gunn’s platform for experimentation and natural expression—small-batch, low-sulfur, wild-fermented wines made with energy and immediacy in mind. “Little Ra Ra” embodies this spirit, offering a snapshot of vineyard and vintage in its most unfiltered, joyful form.
