ABOUT THIS WINE

Made from 100% Pinot Grigio, the "Sivi" undergoes 8 to 14 days of skin contact, resulting in its characteristic copper-pink tint and an enhanced aromatic and textural complexity. Fermented spontaneously with native yeasts in large oak vats and aged for 18 months on the lees in neutral Slavonian oak, the wine is bottled unfiltered with minimal added sulfur. It is expressive and layered, yet more accessible than some of Radikon's longer-aged bottlings. The texture is lightly grippy, acidity is vibrant, and the wine finishes with savory mineral tones. Ideal pairings include grilled seafood, mushroom-based dishes, and alpine cheeses.

ABOUT THIS PRODUCER

Radikon, based in the village of Oslavia near Italy’s border with Slovenia, is a benchmark name in natural and orange wine. Established by Stanko Radikon and now guided by his son Saša, the estate is known for pioneering extended skin maceration for white wines and embracing organic farming long before it became mainstream. Their philosophy rejects chemical additives and promotes patient, low-intervention winemaking. The “Sivi” bottling represents a more immediate and youthful take on Radikon’s philosophy, offering drinkers a gateway into the depth and individuality that define this storied Friulian estate.
