Sourced from steep terraced vineyards in Austria’s renowned Wachau region, “Hinter der Burg” reflects the cool-climate freshness and mineral complexity that define great Grüner Veltliner. Classified as Federspiel — a traditional Wachau designation for balanced, medium-bodied wines — this bottling combines concentration with elegance and vibrant drinkability.

The vineyards lie on rocky primary soils overlooking the Danube River, where warm days and cool nights allow for slow, even ripening while preserving aromatic clarity and acidity. The 2024 vintage offers lifted aromas of orchard fruit, citrus blossom, and crushed stone, supported by Grüner Veltliner’s hallmark notes of white pepper and subtle savory spice.
