About the Wine

A blend of Garnacha, Cariñena, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot, Camins del Priorat is a reflection of the region’s powerful yet refined terroir. The 2023 vintage benefits from Priorat’s warm days and cool nights, yielding fruit that is both concentrated and fresh. Aromas of wild berries, dried flowers, licorice, and graphite lead into a structured palate where dark fruit, peppery spice, and a mineral-driven finish shine through.

Fermentation is carried out with indigenous yeasts, followed by aging in a mix of French oak barrels and cement vats, allowing for both purity and complexity. This results in a wine that is approachable upon release but can evolve over the next 5–7 years. Pair it with grilled lamb, Iberian pork, mushroom paella, or aged Manchego cheese for a perfect match.

About the Producer

Álvaro Palacios is one of Spain’s most influential winemakers, credited with revolutionizing Priorat and bringing it to global prominence. After working at Château Pétrus in Bordeaux, he returned to Spain and saw the untapped potential of Priorat’s ancient vineyards. Since the 1990s, he has championed old-vine Garnacha and Cariñena, biodynamic farming, and meticulous vinification to create expressive, terroir-driven wines.

While his flagship wines (L’Ermita and Finca Dofí) are among Priorat’s most sought-after, Camins del Priorat is his entry-level offering—made with the same philosophy but designed to be more accessible. This wine is an authentic gateway into the intensity and beauty of Priorat, balancing elegance, freshness, and depth.
