2023 Brooks Winery Pinot Noir "Cahiers", Willamette Valley, Oregon
A luminous and poised expression of Willamette Valley Pinot Noir, the 2023 “Cahiers” captures Brooks Winery’s signature balance of elegance and vitality. Aromas of red cherry, pomegranate, and crushed rose petal unfold with precision, framed by hints of forest floor and subtle spice. The palate is lithe and silky, with vibrant acidity and fine, talc-like tannins that carry through a long, mineral-laced finish. This is a wine that speaks softly but lingers with intention.

ABOUT THE WINE
The 2023 “Cahiers” is a blend of Pinot Noir sourced from several of Brooks' organically and biodynamically farmed vineyard sites across the Willamette Valley. True to vintage and place, it offers purity of fruit—red cherry, cranberry, and rhubarb—interwoven with savory undertones of mushroom, dried herbs, and earth. Aged in neutral French oak, the wine maintains transparency and freshness, allowing its vineyard character to shine through.
Winemaking is minimalist: native fermentation, no fining or filtration, and low sulfur additions, resulting in a wine that’s both expressive and structurally sound. The name “Cahiers” (French for “notebooks”) reflects the winery’s ongoing dialogue between land, vine, and vintage. Enjoy it alongside cedar-planked salmon, duck confit, or mushroom risotto.
