ABOUT THIS WINE
The Bourgogne Hautes Cotes de Nuits from Domaine Dominique Guyon is located in Meuilley, near Nuits-Saint-Georges. The vineyard covers 20 hectares (49.40acres) on South-facing slopes and is well-known for the quality of its wines.
Hand-harvested, the grapes are then carried in small boxes and sorted out upon arrival at the winery. Fermentation during 10/12 days in wooden open vats, with punching down of the cap and temperature control. Ageing in oak barrels and estate bottling after 12 months.
ABOUT THIS PRODUCER
In the 1960s, Antonin Guyon, then 55 years old, acquired several vineyards across a range of prestigious appellations, stretching from Gevrey-Chambertin to Meursault. Through determination and persistence, his son Dominique achieved a remarkable feat in 1970 by uniting around 350 individual plots—previously owned by nearly 80 different proprietors—from the commune of Meuilley in the Hautes Côtes de Nuits. This resulted in a 54-acre, south-facing vineyard with exceptional soil, a fitting addition to the family’s growing estate. Today, the Guyon brothers, Dominique and Michel, oversee the vinification of more than fifteen different appellations from their cellars in Savigny-lès-Beaune. Michel handles administration and sales, while Dominique, with the support of vineyard manager and cellar master Vincent Nicot, leads the winemaking process.
