ABOUT THE WINE
Crafted exclusively from old-vine Chenin Blanc grown in the schist-rich soils of Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, this Coteaux du Layon is a deeply expressive sweet wine shaped by its unique terroir and meticulous farming. The 2023 vintage benefited from optimal botrytis development, lending the wine its hallmark honeyed complexity and tension. Hand-harvested in multiple passes (tris), the grapes were gently pressed and fermented with native yeasts before a slow aging in neutral barrels. The wine offers layers of dried stone fruit, beeswax, saffron, and saline minerality—a profile that evolves beautifully with age.
