The 2023 Gérard Fiou Sancerre Rosé is a refined expression of Pinot Noir from the esteemed Domaine Gérard Fiou, located in the eastern part of the Sancerre appellation in Saint-Satur, Loire Valley. The grapes undergo a saignée method, where juice is bled off after 48 hours of cold maceration. Fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, maintaining the wine's fresh and fruity character. Post-fermentation, the wine is aged on its fine lees for 3–4 months to enhance texture and complexity. This meticulous process ensures a wine that is both expressive and balanced.
