ABOUT THIS WINE

Sourced from two distinct parcels on Underwood Mountain, situated at an elevation of 1,200 feet with south-facing slopes overlooking the Columbia River and Mt. Hood, this Pinot Gris benefits from the unique terroir of the Columbia Gorge. The 2023 vintage reflects the site's volcanic soils and cool climate, contributing to the wine's distinctive character. The grapes underwent a four-day skin maceration in conical wooden vats, followed by gentle pressing into neutral barrels for fermentation and aging. This process imparts a delicate copper hue and enhances the wine's complexity and structure. The resulting profile showcases layers of stone fruit, citrus, and herbal undertones, with a balanced acidity that makes it an excellent companion to dishes such as grilled seafood, roasted poultry, and creamy risottos.
